Portuguese to English document translation covers every Portuguese record a US office might ask you to file, each one a certified translation with a signed Certificate of Accuracy at $19 a page, delivered within 24 hours. Find your document type below.
Civil records
The registry documents from a Brazilian cartório: the birth certificate USCIS asks for most, the marriage certificate for green card and name-change filings, and the death certificate for immigration, probate, and estate use. We translate the full inteiro teor, including seals and back-page notes.
Academic records
For university admission, credential evaluation, and licensing: the Brazilian diploma and the academic transcript, translated together so the two match, with every course, grade, and seal in full. Evaluators such as WES accept a certified translation you supply.
Legal and background documents
Court and clearance paperwork: the police certificate for USCIS, visas, and employers, plus contracts, powers of attorney, and court filings. USCIS does not require a sworn translation (tradução juramentada), only a certified one.
Personal and business documents
Letters, declarations, bank and employment records, and identity documents like the passport and RG. Every certified Portuguese to English translation comes back formatted to match the original and ready to file.
No agency queue and no machine draft: Ivy, a native Brazilian Portuguese speaker, translates your document and signs the Certificate of Accuracy USCIS requires on it herself.
Everything USCIS requires, included in every order
I just wanted to say how fast this company is. Ivy helped me get my birth certificate translated fast! I’d recommend Brazil USA Translations to anyone who needs documents translated fast.
The USCIS Acceptance Guarantee
Every certified document translation services we deliver is backed by our USCIS acceptance guarantee. If USCIS rejects your translation because of our work, we correct and redeliver it free within 24 hours. If the corrected translation is still not accepted because of our work, we refund your order in full.
The guarantee covers our work. It does not cover a decision USCIS makes about your case for other reasons.
Common questions
Do you translate documents from Portugal or only from Brazil?
Both. Ivy is a native Portuguese speaker and translates Portuguese-language documents whichever country issued them. Either way we translate the complete document, including stamps, seals, marginal notes (averbações), and the back side, and it comes back with a signed Certificate of Accuracy.
Can you translate an old handwritten Brazilian document?
Yes. Ivy reads handwritten cursive the same way she reads a printed certificate, and we still translate the complete document, including the stamps, the seals, the marginal notes (averbações), and the back side. If a word on your scan is too faint to read, we ask you for a clearer copy instead of guessing at it.
Can I send several different Portuguese documents in one order?
Yes. A birth certificate, a diploma, and a police certificate can go in together, and we count pages across the whole set at $19 a page, one page being up to 250 words, with the exact total shown before you pay. The 4-hour rush is $9 per page extra and covers up to 10 pages, and anything over 10 pages becomes a bulk quote confirmed by a person rather than an automatic price. Send the whole stack through the quote page and we will price it as one total.
How do I know which of my Portuguese documents need translating?
Anything in your USCIS filing that is not in English needs a full English translation with a signed certification, and ours meets 8 CFR 103.2(b)(3). If you are not sure what your case calls for, the document checklist generator builds a list for your filing. You can also send us photos of what you have and we will come back with the page count and the price.
You do not list my Portuguese document. Can you still translate it?
Yes. The certification does not change with the document type, so a court filing, a bank letter, or a power of attorney comes back with the same signed Certificate of Accuracy meeting 8 CFR 103.2(b)(3). The USCIS acceptance guarantee covers it too. If USCIS rejects your translation because of our work, we correct and redeliver it free within 24 hours. If the corrected translation is still not accepted because of our work, we refund your order in full.
